Summary/Abstract: The article represent the legal framework of public procurement in the European Union and shows some of the major legal acts, governed the public procurement regime in the European Union. The author tries to shows the main objectives of public procurement policy and the stage through wich the legislation passed. The basic proivisions of Directive 2004/18/EU and 2014/24/EU are represented.
