Summary/Abstract: Adolescence is long period, quite different from the preadolescence childhood. Adolescence has structure, though psychology often takes it for a single period ‘teenage years’. Adolescence often is thought as a crisis the essence of which, however, was not defined clearly enough neither by the founder of the psychology of adolescence Erik Erickson nor by the numerous researchers later. This article speculates on the psychological and social nature of adolescence crisis.
