Quorum: A Youth Magazine for All Generations of Readers

Summary/Abstract: The first series of twelve books of the book edition called “Quorum” was issued in October 1984: seven books of poetry, four books of prose and one book of drama. The publisher was the Centre for Social Activities of the Federation of the Socialist Youth of Croatia, the copublisher was the Students’ Centre of Zagreb University, the editor in chief of the entire edition was Pero Kvesić, and each book had its own editor. Judging by the excerpts from the literary reviews at the time, the young writers were not entirely disregarded: the edition was awarded the prize Sedam sekretara SKOJ-a, whereas the daily newspaper Vjesnik proclaimed it to be “the most significant publishing event of the month of October” of the same year.
