Fuzzy WebQual Method and Its Application in an Assessment of Information Websites

Summary/Abstract: The article describes a modification of the WebQual method using fuzzy sets. The starting point in the development of the method was the assumption that the respondents’ opinions are subjective and ambiguous and should be expressed using fuzzy sets. They have been transformed from a five-point measurement scale to triangular fuzzy numbers. The paper presents the estimation of the fuzzy WebQual index based on arithmetic operations for fuzzy numbers. The proposed method was tested in an evaluation of the Central Statistical Office website.
