Summary/Abstract: An aim of considerations is to characterise development of the hotel base in Poland in a long period (1995-2012). Based on the method of analysis of the development of phenomena over time (trend models, dynamics indices), there is identified the direction and intensity of the changes of the min characteristics of the whole organised accommodation base and its most important component, namely the hotel base (number of facilities, number of accommodation places, number of loggings provided and number of accommodation users) globally (Poland) and in other profiles (e.g. town and countryside, by category of hotel facilities, etc.). The obtained results allowed formulating detailed conclusions related to the changes in the hotel base both in the chronological (temporal) aspect and in the structural one in the years 1995-2012.
