Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to reveal Social Sciences Teaching undergraduate students’ opinions about the effectiveness of social sciences course books. To reach this purpose, the study was conducted with 83 Social Sciences Teaching undergraduate students in Faculty of Education, Ege University. This study is a descriptive research, aiming to reveal the existing situation. In the study, a getting opinion scale, which included 30 questions, was used to reveal Social Sciences Teaching undergraduate students’ opinions about the effectiveness of social sciences course books. As the research design, survey design, aiming to describe the past or existing situation, was used (Karasar, 2009). The findings, which was gathered in the study, were interpreted by transforming statistical data by SPSS 21 program. The findings revealed that students do not want to be committed to the course books. In addition to this, the course books are required to be exemplified with the current incidents, be reviewed, be made functional, stylistically, and include more visual elements.
