Summary/Abstract: The field of social studies is an educational program taught primarily for the purpose of educating citizens and creating national consciousness by combining the information produced by many social sciences and establishing a relationship. History subjects are the most important part of social studies. In this study, the Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient consisting of 21 items and 4 dimensions developed by Yildirim and Yazici (2017) in order to determine the history field competencies of social studies teacher candidates was used.The Scale of Perception of Competence in the Field of History, calculated as 92, was applied. Ege University faculty of education department of social sciences and Turkish education, social studies teaching department 1., 2., 3. and 4. The study was conducted with 151 social studies teacher candidates studying in the classroom. In this study, a descriptive analysis was performed using the survey method, which is often used in social science research. The results obtained were analyzed through the SPSS program and the perceptions of competence in the field of history 3. and 4. 1 In classroom teacher candidates. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between it being more according to class and gender.
