Summary/Abstract: The sector of modern services for business is the fastest developing part of the service sector in Poland, currently employing more than 150 thou. workers where 33% of them work in the IT services (ABSL 2015). This creates huge opportunities as well as challenges for service managers. One of them is assessment of services from the point of view of the provided value. An aim of considerations is to present the concept of assessment of IT service value. The author pays attention to the specific features of IT services: complexity and relationships between individual elements. He discussed the criteria, according to which one may evaluate IT service value. There is proposed the method of surveying values on the grounds of analysis of consumers’ reports, constituting the extension or start point for surveys of the CATI and CAWI type. The article is of the conceptual nature.
