Summary/Abstract: The issues of security in Polish schools and educational institutions are discussed in the article. The authoress, conducting different analyses of the discussed issues, tries to find answers to such questions as: Is Polish school secure? What actions should be taken to protect the schoolchildren against threats existing around school and directly within the school? What should be done to make pupils feel more secure at school? Who should be involved in cooperation on raising the feeling of security at school? Which category of the schoolchildren is most threatened with the loss of the feeling of security at school? The authoress discusses the issues of security of a child at school in holistic categories. The deliberations also concern Romani children at school and their influence on the feeling of security.
