Summary/Abstract: The deliberations upon “subject’s being” in education have been shown by the author on three surfaces: 1) How it should be like, 2) How it is like and 3) What shall one do to improve it. In the first surface an attempt to theoretically establish the idea of subject was undertaken: Attention was paid to the essence of relations between a teacher and a student in subjective education as well as to the need of making conscious choices which let preserve one’s autonomy. In the how it is like surface, through appealing to authentic educational experiences of students (written down in the form of verbal and musical expressions) and empirical researches, the existence of subjectivity as implemented value was put under question. The last surface of these considerations arises a question of conditions which enable passing from the postulated to the practiced “being a subject”. One of them is the need of changes in the surface of educating teachers.
