Summary/Abstract: For the period following Alexandru Ioan Cuza's reign, until the end of the century, the documents regarding the history of the royal palace in Bucharest are not very numerous, which shows that there were no major changes in the palace, with the arrival and installation of Prince Carol I, neither in the interior decoration nor in its external architecture. In the nineteenth century of the nineteenth century, the French architect PaulGottereau (who made the plans of the CEC Palace, the current Central University Libraries, and the Cotroceni Palace) was tasked with modernizing and expanding the palace (transformation of the Queen's Apartment, new reception apartments, changes in the throne room, modernization of the facility Water of the palace).
