Summary/Abstract: The problem of competitiveness has been present for nearly thirty years. Interest in it is not decreasing, on the contrary is increasing. In economics, a lot of things comes down to determining the competitive or non-competitive matters. In a market economy, competition is a fundamental economic mechanism. Based on the study of literature, the following methodical and methodological approach was assumed: the definition of competitiveness, competitiveness model and resource potential of a competitive approach. Structural elements (subsystems) of competitive model are: the competitiveness potential, competitive advantage, competing instruments, competitive position (with the model taking into account the causal relationships between the structural elements of competitiveness).
