Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issue of using social factors in the administration of justice as seen from the perspective of constitutional rules. The aim of the study is to analyze the issue of limiting the participation of lay judges in trial courts of general jurisdiction, which is a starting point for considering the evaluation and importance of lay judges in Polish judicial procedure, in which their participation, as a result of changes in the law, has been significantly limited.
