Summary/Abstract: In the studies of communicology in the territory of Western Balkans, a thorough approach to observing the communicological aspect of the Niklas Luhmann’s general theory of social systems hasn’t been made yet. This Paper is a prolegomenon for such an observation. Considering the general theoretical context and the concept of communication within the Luhmann paradigm, we are stressing the importance of Niklas Luhmann in redefining communicology as a macrosocial metacommunicational discourse.
