Summary/Abstract: This study is a case study on finding out the strategies used for foreign language reading comprehension by students who are smart in different ways and the relation between the reading strategies and the characteristics of the student’s intelligences. It has been employed with the help of the findings of Multiple Intelligence Theory. According to the data of this study, though the students who are smart in different ways use different reading strategies, there are many common strategies used by all of them. Readers who are the participants of this study use ‘cognitive strategies’ more than ‘memory strategies’ and ‘compensating strategies’. Students who are smart in different ways are not affected by the characteristics of their intelligence. The difference in the strategies used by the students are mostly quantitative.
