Starting from the presentation of the heavenly forces hierarchyby Pseudo-Dionysius, the authors focus their attention on how people pictured angelsas God's emissaries. Much space is devoted to contemporary relations, confirming thepresence of the angels on earth also today. The texts of folk songs are also analysed, in which the angels accompany not only people, but also the Mother of God and thesaints.
