Ethnic Music in the System of Musical Education.

Summary/Abstract: The article studies the importance of ethno music and especially folk songs for people’s intellectual activities: the peculiarities of intonational thinking as the main means of expression, the unity of logical-verbal and emotional-intonational thinking, the significance of intonational thinking for the formation of people’s aesthetic attitudes, their reflection in folk pedagogy of the past and the present musical education system in Lithuanian schools.
