Summary/Abstract: In the following text the categories of subjectivity and identity and their relation with the concept of difference which can be perceived as one of the key concepts for understanding and rethinking the issue of Otherness are analysed. The dominant discourse classifies and categorizes the subjects based on the perceived/imagined normative which places certain types of subjectivity in a field of Otherness hence marginalizing and discriminating them. The positioning of the subject within the societal structures and the establishment of inequality in the society is the product of specific manners of reading and interpretation of difference which represents the basis for the creation of cultural meanings which is embedded in body and identity of a subject in such way. Hence, the problem of differencing societal groups is unalienable from the issues of identity and difference that are as the products of discursive practices fundamental for the categorization and classification of the subjects within a society.
