Reflextions of theoretical studies in terminology in the practice of designing terminology glosaries

Summary/Abstract: In this study are treated reflexes of theoretical studies in the field of terminology in our country, which, since the beginning of the creation and consolidation of Albanian terminology, were preceded by terminological practice, although the latter is developed based on the foreign experience in implementing the principles and criteria in Glossary design, published in many series immediately after the 1950s. Later, following and exceeding terminological practice initially undertaken by the founders of Albanian terminology, L.Dodbiba and F.Leka, as well as others after them, in theoretical studies the terminological practice was perfected, although basically it remained within the limits of application of classical methods that were also partly outdated. From this point of view theoretical studies went far ahead in dealing with basic contemporary theoretical concepts. Observation of these theoretical and practical problems in comparative context of the past with the present, paved the way to achieve terminological practice on the basis of introducing integrative computerized methods in this field, known and theoretically discussed, but not practically implemented.
