The Problem of Intellectual in Turkish Literature: Invariability, Disengagement and Reconstruction in Oya Baydar’s Work

Summary/Abstract: In this study, we try to analyze literature, politics, currency, persistency and disengagement in novelists’ world view with a perspective of social sciences in the framework of Thomas S. Kuhn’s Transition of Paradigm and Louis Althusser’s Epistemological Break. In this context, we try to examine the process beginning with Oya Baydar’s book, Elveda Alyoşa, arising from Socialist theory on the basis of such concepts; transition of paradigm and epistemological break.
