Summary/Abstract: The paper refers to a sensible problem: terminology in the field of ecology. The designed approach takes into consideration not only terminology as an academic discipline, but also the problems that some professional translators may encounter. The EU has some of the highest environment standards in the world, developed over decades to address a wide range of issues. Today the main priorities are combating climate change, preserving biodiversity, reducing health problems caused by pollution and using natural resources more responsibly.
