Summary/Abstract: The objective of the paper is to distinguish and describe the types of negotiations occurring within the field of project management in a company. First of all that field as a negotiations area (context) is characterized. Then the general definitions of negotiations are presented as well as their interpretation within project management. Afterwards the assumptions and criteria for the typology of project negotiations are addressed. In the subsequent parts of the paper their particular types are characterized. The closing section contains the synthesis of the suggested typology of project negotiations and the directions of further studies on them.
