Summary/Abstract: In the current paper we present the results of a linguistic inquiry conducted at the German High school from Arad, a high school having courses taught in German as modern language and German as mother tongue. The scholars of the grades 5-12 were given each an enquiry of 18 questions. These questions refer to their origin and the origins of the languages they speak. The scholars were proposed to relate to episodes of their daily life. It wasn’t difficult to notice, that in the colloquial German language often and very easily some Romanian words interposed, because they were more at hand. We collected and edited 412 enquiries, reaching to interesting conclusions that we will present in this article.
