Summary/Abstract: This contribution makes an attempt to look at higher education from the standpoint of constructivist cognitive theories. In the face of ever faster changes taking place in the modern world and the resulting new challenges, I believe that there is a need for new approaches at the level of higher education. It is the constructivist model of education that could contribute to a large extent to the development of creativity in students.
