Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to characterize the participants of railway heritage events. These events are both part of cultural tourism and recreational events. Basing on three railway events that took place in 2015 in Poland in: Wolsztyn (Parada Parowozów), Chabówka (Parowozjada) and Jaworzyna Śląska (Gala Parowozów), an attempt has been made to create a profile of their participants and determine: their experience with other railway events, their socioeconomic characteristics, sources of information about the events, or reasons for participation.
