Summary/Abstract: The subject of this paper is to discuss colloquial stylisation in T. Jamroziński’s crime fiction "Schodząc ze ścieżki". The analysis lets us praise the efficiency of linguistic stylisation consisting of common vocabulary and common phraseology together with a huge input of the lowest register of this variation; dialectical, regional and environmental borrowings; appropriate addressative and polite forms (informal anthroponyms, typical appellative expressions and terms), indefinite pronouns, rhymes and paralanguage elements enables writers to create the authenticity of the presented world.
