It is evident especially. It concerns especially the river (mainly the Dniepr) that plays an important symbolic role, magical. Likewise the entire Ukraine it is shown in accordance with canonical romantic literary representation: Maria by Antoni Malczewski, The Kaniów Castle by Seweryn Goszczyński and poetry of Taras Szewczenko. At the same time it remains a realistic element of the portrayed world.
