DUAL STUDIES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF FUTURE TRANSITION OF THE STUDENTS AT THE ECONOMIC FACULTIES TO THE LABOR MARKET

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the concept of dual studies as a form combining education at tertiary level with professional experience acquisition, which prepares future graduates for fluent transition into labor market and onward efficient competing regarding the requirements declared by employers. The article provides a range of arguments confirming a hypothesis which states that numerous virtues dual studies observed abroad as well as at some Polish universities enforce introducing it also at economic faculties. The empirical part of the paper was based on the results of authors survey study conducted in years 2014–2016 at the University of Economics in Katowice. The study showed that dual studies were preferred by students to other options.
