Summary/Abstract: The article presents results of the research on employment trends in the SME sector in the area of Eastern Polish 2007–2013, and the relationship between the unemployment rate and the dynamics of employment and entrepreneurship in the light indicator data of the Central Statistical Office. The entrepreneurship indicator was resented as a number of registered in the REGON system for 10 thousand inhabitants in the production age. A statistically significant dependency was found between the of employment, unemployment and entrepreneurship indicator.
