Summary/Abstract: This research aims to capture the composer’s Răzvan Metea polyvalence of musical discourse mirrored in the creation of Lieder. The two works chosen for analysis – Vârsta de aur a dragostei (The Golden Age of Love) and Cântec de ploaie (Rain Song) – are written in the same period – the spring of 2016 - but use a diametrically opposed musical language. If in the first piece we find the main elements of musical language specific to the composer - avant-garde style, colour, with modern timbre additions (beatbox) - in the second one we see a noticeable shift toward an overflowing lyricism, with a musical writing with pentatonic influences, all developing in a calm, inner atmosphere.
