Summary/Abstract: The study was carried out to define the direction and the strength of changes in wholesale fruit prices and to assess an economic situation of fruit producers. The results can become an indicator for Polish fruit farmers who has to make the short- and long- term production decisions. A vertical and a horizontal comparative analysis of price changes of some dessert and for processing fruits on the Polish market were made. A direction and dynamics of prices changes and their volatility in individual years were determined. The study also analyzed the changes in the prices of selected inputs of production and wages in agriculture. Price changes of selected inputs and wages in agriculture and their relationship with fruit prices were evaluated for years 2003– 2013.
