Summary/Abstract: In this paper the main attention is focused on the analysis of volatility in agricultural commodity prices mainly cereals and oilseeds. Price volatility was analyzed on the basis of the price index of cereals oilseeds International Grains Council. The paper presents the structure of the index, and characterized his conduct in the years 2000– 2014. The paper also analyzes changes in the prices of individual products that make up the index test.
