Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to find out whether there is a relationship between some features of organizational culture and the level of project management maturity. Preliminary literatures studies enabled the author to gather evidence demonstrating i.a. relationship between organizational culture and project effectiveness. The area of the study has not been explored. Hence the author is interest in this area. The article presents results of empirical research conducted in financial company. The organization in question has shown itself to be based on hierarchical culture which – according to the literature – is not conductive to achieving great project results. This, however, does not seem to impede the creation of a cohesive integrated project management system i.e. achieving high level of project management maturity.
