Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to describe, in relation to the concept of risk, social problems that can occur in project-oriented organizations (also called “project managed organizations”). The focus is placed on the sources of these social problems, specific for that type of organisation. This paper postulates holistic approach to the project managed organisation as well. The social problems are not only a risk factor in management by projects. They also have an impact on operational activities. Presented issues can be used for diagnosing social problems, building training-programmes and instituting appropriate solutions in reference to the role of HR department.
