SELECTED ASPECTS OF STRATEGICAL PLANNING IN INTEGRATION AND WELFARE INSTITUTIONS

Summary/Abstract: The market situation that modern organisations have to face is characterised by significant turbulence. Changes become a permanent characteristic of organisations. Proper approach to and prediction of these changes is very important for the functioning of not only profit oriented organisations, but also those that pursue important social purposes. This paper presents selected aspects of strategic planning in integration and welfare institutions. The first part constitutes a review of literature on strategic planning, whereas further the paper presents findings of surveys in this area conducted in selected integration and welfare institutions functioning in the territory of Silesian province. The aim of this study was to identify the underlying problems of strategic planning in the surveyed institutions and implementation of strategies.
