Summary/Abstract: In the paper the Authors examined the changes in the level of polarization of poviats in Zachodniopomorskie voivodship with Szczecin as a regional growth pole. The four areas of polarization were as follows: demographic structure, urbanization, labour market and structure of firms. The calculations were based on Bray-Curtis measure. The results allowed for separation groups of poviats with small and great level of polarization in all four areas. The data came from Central Statistical Office and concerned period 2007–2012.
