Summary/Abstract: In the paper authors suggest a use of DEA method and NPE procedure to evaluate efficiency in micro scale in health care. Deliberations about usability of both approaches are illustrated in an empirical example of technical efficiency evaluation for ten chosen departments of internal medicine. Accordingly to DEA method used in CCR variant focused on expenditures, it turned out, that only 60% of examined departments have technical efficiency reserves. Due to the fact, that efficiency evaluation for the same departments performed with use of NPE procedure turned out completely different, the problem of credibility of acquired information from both places arise. It is necessary to conduct more detailed comparison analysis for both methods with use of various class objects.
