Socio - political nature of Raúl Castro government

Summary/Abstract: In 2008 Raúl Castro became a new leader in Cuba. An international public opinion speculated about the island`s future and its inhabitans. People said Raúl was in Fidel`s shadow and he was accused that all decisions must have been accepted by his brother. Meanwhile, the cuban government needed six years to introduce changes in the name of modernization of socialist economic model. Migration law and construction law should be treaten with special attention because they are system`s reforms. But who is a man called Raúl Castro? His figure was presented in this article. Some events from his life are not allowed to create an unambiguous opinion. Raúl is modest and family. He is the opposite of Fidel. In the past he could not object to his great brother, but now he makes courageous decisions and he tries to change Cuba.
