Summary/Abstract: The article studies the most numerous professional group of the territorial intelligentsia — elementary school teachers. Analyzed is the dynamics of this professional group overall number during the period under consideration in the Vladimir and Kostroma provinces as well as the group structure taking into account the following factors: sex, social stratum, length of service and marital status.
