IT project success in the context of selected organizational culture aspects

Summary/Abstract: This article fits into the current trend of research on the perception of project success and the need to change the paradigms of management. It is based on several years of research of IT project failure causes, including both own research and systematic reports and literature review. Low success rate of IT projects which is continuously observed leads to multidirectional search for the causes of this phenomenon. This article proposes incorporating IT project to model of diagnosis organizational efficiency. This made it possible draw attention to important areas, which has not been raised in the context of IT project success in the IT projects management literature. The obtained results indicate the implications between IT project success and organizational culture and related areas of authorities impact, professional identity of IT staff and other behavioral aspects. The aim of my research, and this article is to fill an important gap in the area of IT project management and to indicate the desirable direction of change.
