EUPHEMISATION AND DISPHEMISATION AS A LINGUISTIC MANIFESTATIONS OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND HATE SPEECH IN THE MEDIA SPEECH

Summary/Abstract: The euphemism process in the speech is opposed to verbal aggression in all social spheres. It is the main linguistic mechanism in realization of political correct language. In the paper we discuss the differences between euphemisms and political correct nominations, the reasons for media speech disphemisation. We examine concrete euphemisms and disphemisms for appearance and age in media speech and we reveal their manipulative role in creating of evaluation and attitude trough public persons.
