Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims to fulfil a study of the cross-cultural elements which depict Czernowitz as a German-speaking space, by analysing a poem of Itsik Manger (1901-1969), “A Darkling Hand”. The research covers one of the poetic creations which are able to reflect his main literary themes. The layout of the analysis will follow to highlight some bio-bibliographic references, the micro-composition of a personal approach, through the interest in historical context and philologic directions. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a cross-culture image, thought in relation with Itsik Manger’s Yiddish literature.
