Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims to offer a starting point to reassess the writing of an Israeli contemporary author, David Grossman. This study seeks to outline the evolution or perhaps the involution, the rise and the fall of some characters which Grossman had created into his novel To the End of the Land (2008). We are keeping a lookout for some landmarks, for instance: an historical and a literary context, an introduction to the fictional universe of the novel and its undeniable cross with Grossmanřs biography, a highlight of some thematic aspects which become important wihin the novel and in our interpretation, explaining the title of the novel and of this paper. The challenge of this micro-research will be to give privilege to a direct lecture of the text, so the itinerary of the following analysis stands for an essay approach, endorsed by an academic exactness
