Summary/Abstract: The current paper presents one of the notable figures from Bihor County, portrayed by Teodor Neș in his book The Monograph Ŕ „People from Bihor Countyŗ, writing in which he depicts political, historical and cultural events between 1848-1918, the coryphaeusřs of the social-cultural revolution from Bihor County and Ardeal. Here with his sharp and neat stile he presents their life, work, career and ideals. Miron Pompiliu is better known as the friend of the famous Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu. Born in Bihor County but a strayed and active in Iași. Miron Pompiliu is a Romanian writer, journalist and folklorist. Author of: „Balade populare româneŗ, published by Junimea from Iași in 1870; „Antologie română pentru uzul școalelor secundareŗ, published in Iași in 1885; „Ileana Cozînzeana, din cosiță floare-i cântă, nouă împărății ascultăŗ, a tall story published in Cernăuți in 1886; „Carte de cetireŗ, a handbook achieved and published together with Paul I. in Iași in 1897; „Literatură și limbă popularăŗ, edited and signed by V. Netea, an introductory study published in Bucharest in 1967; „Poeziiŗ, foreword by Mircea Popa, appeared in Oradea in 1998. Dies young at the age of 49.
