Summary/Abstract: In the post-war period (from 1995), which we usually mark as the third stage in the development of archival service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is written several articles by Bosnian archivists, concerning the status, development and professionalism and autonomy of archival profession. Almost all these works are affirmative, although there were those who pointed to some inconsistencies, ambiguities, politicization. Today, 15 years after the Dayton peace agreement in terms of democratization development trends, where is the place of the archival activities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the question is which requires a consistent response. Especially since in November this year is planed to maintenance the Second Congress of archivists of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The intention of the author is to point out all the positive trends, but also to let the opposing tendencies in the archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all in order to properly direct the archival profession and improve.
