On the Definitions of Creativity: Between the Views of Jan Łukasiewicz and Stanisław Leśniewski

Summary/Abstract: In this paper I discuss two different approaches to the problem of creative definitions: those of J. Łukasiewicz and S. Leśniewski. The teacher, abiding by the classical models of mathematical theory, was forbidden to use them. The student has intentionally disobeyed the recommendation: he put them into practice and, as a consequence, has built a new model of the developing theory for studying of which the apparatus used so far is not a suitable one. W artykule omawiam dwa różne podejścia do problemu twórczych definicji: J. Łukasiewicza i S. Leśniewskiego. Nauczyciel, stosując się do klasycznych wzorów teorii matematycznej, zakazać stosowania ich. Uczeń świadomie nie podporządkował się zaleceniu: wprowadził je i w konsekwencji zbudował nowy wzór teorii rozwijającej się, do badania której nie nadaje się dotychczas stosowana aparatura.
