Summary/Abstract: Vasile Voiculescu's fantastic prose was a revelation, like the series of "Sonnets ...", revealing once more the polymorphic talent of this writer. Combining folk vision with the modern intellectualism, the writer creates a unique fictional universe. The short-story "Lostriţa" is based on popular beliefs about aquatic demons. The pact with the devil is accepted by Aliman as a sacrifice made in the name love and is officiated under the power of an occult moon.
