The role of local authorities in the development of tourism clusters structures from the theoretical and empirical objective

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the first part, which is devoted to theoretical considerations, shows the role of local government in initiating and developing cooperation in the tourism cluster. Particular attention was paid to various activities and support instruments that can be used by public authorities, both at the stage of establishing mutual relations, as well as in the later period of the functioning of the cluster. The second part of the article is based on the results of surveys. Shows the forms of support from the local authorities, aimed at stimulating their development expected by the entities operating in the tourism cluster structures of macro-region of Eastern Poland.
