Clusters by region: characteristics and dynamics of appearences

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article was to gather the available data concerning clusters in Poland and their analysis as per location on the polish map. Due to discrepances between cluster definitions and number of entities regarded as the clusters the another took one of the accepted definitions according to which she estimated the number of clusters in Poland and in particular voivodeship. Basing on the available literature and information on the internet the other estimated time – frames of initiation of particular clusters, the entity responsible for this initiation, number of entities in the cluster as well as industries they represent. She also made on attempt to determine whether there is correlarion between the cluster kind and it's lacation on the Polish map.
