SOCIAL ECONOMY ENTITIES IN THE MASOVIAN VOIVODESHIP

Summary/Abstract: The concept of the social economy is currently a very important and topical issue. Discussions on this subject appear increasingly often in the literature. In this thematic area there is still considerable conceptual heterogeneity, and assigning organisations to the category of social economy entities is a rather difficult task. In 2022, the Act on the Social Economy came into force, which partially regulates issues related to such entities. Despite this legal regulation, there remain a number of ambiguities and aspects in the studied area that require further research and regular observation. The aim of the article is to present the current situation of social economy entities operating in the Masovian Voivodeship, to attempt to characterise them in terms of selected features, and to present recommendations that will help optimise their activities.
